The last show being the last classic car show of the year for me at Beamish and the last chance for people to see my GTV which was looking good as usual even better as it was wet through.More of that later.
It was a Sunday and I had to be there by 11 as the gates would shut. But what comes before Sunday? Saturday and more specifically Saturday night and so I was late setting off.
Late isn’t really late as long as you are within 7 minutes but I couldn’t be late and the car was making a few clonks from the front suspension but I got there the second last car in.
City cap on I headed off to look at all the cars I had owned years ago that I sold and are now worth fortunes.Gti’s, Gordinis, Fulvias all were present.
Then luck struck.I was queuing for a pie and as I approached the till there were two sausage rolls and a cheese and onion pastie left. The people two in from got a sausage roll the girl in front the same.
There it was a solitary pastry the last one at the last show and I was next in line.
I coupled it with a coconut macaroon and I was a very happy Manc.
Everyone was photographing the cars.I tried a different angle and was happy with the results.A few are below.
Then it rained.Poured.It always does when I show the car but when it’s covered in water the scratches disappear.
Isn’t it pretty those around it said.It is.Very.
